With 17 years of production and live broadcast experience behind her,
Louise has been working solidly as a camera operator since 2008 and in
the live environment for the last 11 years. She is now moving across to
narrative led projects and leaving the sports world behind,
With Burwood Broadcast/Media South she worked with Sky, ITV, BBC
and NBC, covering primetime coverage on some of their flagship shows;
Sky News, Sky Sports News.
Louise also worked at QVCUK for 5 and a half years as a Broadcast
Technical Operator and Lighting PSC operator. Working both in the studio
in live, IP and multichannel production, Louise’s skills as a PED operator
excelled as she would have to choreograph moves at a moment’s notice,
that could be minutes long. Louise has also shot Promos for QVC to the
highest standard which have been shown all around the world, on the 7
QVC’s including Germany, France, Japan and America.
She has now operated the Steadicam full time for the last 8 years, one of
her first being at the beauty CEW Awards operating in the green room,
doing the long backwards walk to the studio for the winners and roaming
reports for social media. Steadicam was to be a minor part of the show
and ended up being used for about 80% of it.
Louise has also been involved in some drama as
a Steadicam operator, a low budget feature film,
which was an intense 3 week shoot, mostly
consisting of night shoots in a barn or running
through the woods. This experience has now led
her to the ultimate decision to leave the live
broadcast and sports industry behind, transfer
these much needed skills to Television Drama
and Features. Louise comes with great
references and all very flattering to her
personality and her ease to work with.
Our new client at RA has also done scripted
shows as a Steadicam operator for Soccer AM,
one of Sky’s flagship shows which has been
running for 30 years.
Looking for a drama led opportunities and is eligable for Screen Skills
HETV Make a Move program and BFI’s Step Up Scheme.
