Judi Lee Headman is nominated for the BAFTA TV Craft Award 2022 for Sound on ‘Intergalactic’! Good luck Judi!

Anansi Boys’ is the latest Neil Gaiman adaptation exclusive to Amazon Prime on which Judi Lee Headman has been Production Sound Mixer. The show will be a six-part limited series, meaning that a second season is unlikely, However, nothing is confirmed. With filming commencing late last year, the earliest fans should expect a trailer is early 2022, but it could be much later. There may not be a trailer yet but Amazon Prime Video has revealed the first poster for the series, which helps fans understand the tone and feel of the show. The poster shows an African landscape, with a man standing on a cliff in the distance, overlooking the vibrant view.

Judi also worked last year as Production Sound Mixer in ‘The Capture Season 2’, which came our way in 2021 after the first series wowed audiences when it hit our screens back in 2019, becoming the BBC iPlayer’s most requested show of the year. The first run of the surveillance thriller saw Lance Corporal Shaun Emery (Callum Turner) fighting to clear his name after being accused of kidnapping and murdering his barrister Hannah Roberts. The show returned with Paapa Essiedu starring alongside Holliday Grainger.
‘The Capture 2’ is presently in the edit suite and due for release later this year, the first episodes of which were directed by James Kent and stated: “I thought Judi was amazing. Not only the best person to have around (so easy, so flexible) but her sound is fantastic. She’s great with the actors and frankly, I’d hire her any day!!”

Another of the productions on which Judi was in charge of sound production last year was ‘SAS Rogue Heroes’. The six-part drama is based on Ben Macintyre’s SAS: Rogue Heroes book, which charts the creation of the famed Special Forces unit. Filming has now been completed, and it has been confirmed the series will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2022.
