We have news on PSM Jen Annors new projects for 2022!…

PRODUCTION SOUND MIXER, JEN ANNOR’S HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2021 WERE ‘THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND THE CANOE’ AND ‘THE SECRET CONFESSIONS OF FRANNIE LANGTON’

‘The Thief, his Wife and the Canoe’ is the unbelievable true story of canoe conman John Darwin, starring Eddie  Marsan as former teacher John Darwin, the conman who brazenly faked his own death in 2002 for life insurance money, while Monica Dolan plays his wife, Anne. The series also stars Mark Stanley (White House Farm) and Karl Pilkington (Sick of It) and is based on the unpublished manuscript written by journalist David Leigh, who was the first journalist to track down Anne as she was on the verge of setting up a new life in Panama.

In May 2021 the release date had not yet been announced and it had not yet been revealed when the series will be landing on ITV in the UK before going to ITV Hub then BritBox later on.

Another of the series on which RA’s Jen Annor has been production sound mixer is ‘The Secret Confessions of Frannie Langton’, which is based on the novel by Sara Collins. It tells a beautiful and haunting tale about one woman’s fight to tell her story and leads you through laudanum-laced dressing rooms and dark-as-night back alleys, into the enthralling heart of Georgian London.

In August 2020 ITV commissioned an adaptation of Collins’ novel. Collins herself adapted and executively produced the work alongside Greg Brenman, Rebecca de Souza and Carol Harding. Andrea Harkin would direct the drama. In August 2021, it was announced KarlaSimone Spence, Sophie Cookson, and Patrick Martins would star in the series with Spence taking the titular role. Stephen Campbell Moore, Steven Mackintosh, and Henry Pettigrew had also joined the cast.

Receiving support from Screen Yorkshire and Production Intelligence, principal photography took place across Yorkshire, beginning in August 2021 and wrapping in November. Markéta Korinkova designed the sets for the series. Filming locations included Wakefield, Mansion House on St Helen’s Square and the former post office on Lendal in York, Sledmere House, Kingston upon Hull, and Versa Studios in Leeds.

The series is being filmed to be shown in four parts; it is not yet known when the drama will hit the ITV schedule but it should be early this year 2022.
