Ellie is an experienced and award-winning Director of shorts, docs and branded content, formally trained by the BBC. She was a short form director for many years, and won awards for her promos, commercials and music videos; for clients such as 4Creative, ITV and Universal.

Ellie now Directs TV drama for Hollyoaks and Eastenders and films for brands such as Nintendo, Triumph and Glyndebourne Opera.

In addition, Ellie has written and directed 3 critically acclaimed short films which have all been shortlisted by major film festivals.

Ellie prides herself on her ability to create nuanced and layered drama, from challenging and emotional scenes, to action stunt and comedy; whilst always maintaining her sharp eye for style, aesthetics and movement within the frame.

Ellie is inventive, ambitious and easy to work with, and will always come to the table with ideas. Gaining respect from cast and crew is incredibly important to her and she always enjoys working collaboratively to create something special.
